Ingredients
  

  • 1 jar Safari Simmer stew 16 oz
  • 500 ml water/ broth (chicken, beef, vegetarian) 16 oz
  • 4 cups white rice different cook times for different types of rice
  • 1 tbsp Safari Sunset Heat Blend optional for an extra kick of heat
  • 1 tbsp Salt highly optional, for an extra kick of saltiness if desired

Instructions
 

  • Rinse & Prep: Wash the rice until the water runs clear.
  • Heat Things Up: Set your stove to medium heat.
  • Mix & Spice: Combine a jar of Safari Simmer Stew with Safari Sunset Heat Blend to taste in a heatproof bowl.
  • Heat & Customize: Heat the mixture and add any veggies or cooked meat if desired.
  • Add Water: Pour in all the water, mix well, and bring to a boil.
  • Add Rice: Stir in the washed rice. Cover with foil and the lid, then reduce heat to low.
  • Cook Undisturbed: Cook for about 20 minutes without stirring or lifting the lid to keep the steam in.
  • Rest the Rice: Turn off the heat and let it sit covered for 10 minutes to steam and fluff.
  • Serve & Enjoy: Remove from heat, serve, and savor!

Notes

If Rice is Tough: Add more water/broth 60 mls (2 oz)  at a time and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes each time is added.
For brown rice, using an Instant Pot or oven is highly recommended.
