Oven baked Jollof Rice

Ingredients
- 1 Jar Safari Simmer tomato stew
- 562 ml 19 fl. oz of water
- 3.5 cups rice different cook times for different types of rice, see below
- 1 tsbp Safari Sunset Heat Blend for extra heat optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F.
- Wash the rice until the water runs clear.
- In an oven-safe bowl or a 12 x 10 foil pan, combine the rice, Safari Simmer stew, Safari Sunset Heat blend (optional) and water.
- Stir until the water and sauce are evenly distributed.
- Cover the bowl tightly with foil. For a secure seal, overlap two pieces of foil.
- Place the bowl in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and stir the rice to even out the color. If desired, add frozen or fresh vegetables, or cooked meat, or both.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes as long as no meat or vegetables were added.
- Remove, serve, and enjoy!
