Chicken Biryani with safari simmer
Chicken Biryani made with Safari Simmer blends marinated chicken, basmati rice, and aromatic spices, enhanced by the rich flavors of Safari Simmer Tomato Stew for a convenient, flavorful twist on the classic dish.
Ingredients
- 1/2-1 cup Onion
- 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 600 g Chicken
- 1/2 jar Safari simmer tomato stew
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 4 tbsp Biryani masala
- 3 pieces Green chillies
- 3 tbsp Coriander chopped
- 3 tbsp Mint leaves chopped
- 5 cups Boiled rice
- 1/2 Oil Oil –
- 2 Sliced Lemon
- Orange Food colour as required
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until they turn white and release their juices.
- Mix in the Safari Simmer Tomato Stew and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add yogurt and biryani masala, ensuring the chicken is well coated. Allow it to simmer until the chicken is tender and the gravy thickens.
- Fold in whole green chilies, chopped coriander, and mint leaves, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- In a large pot, create a base layer with half the chicken mixture, followed by a layer of boiled rice.
- Add lemon slices, mint leaves, and coriander.
- Top with the remaining chicken mixture, then cover with the rest of the boiled rice.
